Investor Relations & Business Development Intern

6-month internship - Based in Paris - Starting March 3rd, 2025

Partech is a global investment firm with €2.6Bn AUM across 5 main investment strategies and offices in Paris, San Francisco, Berlin, London, Dakar, Nairobi, Lagos. We bring together capital, operational experience and strategic support for tech entrepreneurs at seed, venture and growth stages, with initial tickets from $200K to $50M in a wide range of sectors.

Reporting to the Investor Relations Manager, your main objective as part of the global Business Development team is to collaborate with us and maintain the strategic relationships with our diversified base of 400+ investors, build and enlarge our network of 100+ corporate partners and collaborate with our different investment and platform teams and 200+ portfolio companies.

Missions:

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Investor Relations & Business Development:

• Manage the dealflow analysis and selection of relevant startups for our partners;
• Lead the regular meetings with our main investors by sharing relevant updates on portfolio, dealflow and tech trends globally;
• Explore business use cases and investment synergies between our startups and partners (corporates, banks, insurance companies, asset managers, public / private investment firms);
• Support our business development efforts for portfolio companies from all Partech Funds.

Deep-dive presentations & Contents:

• Analyze, review and present the latest tech trends identified in our markets;
• Lead sector-focused presentations with insights from our different investment strategies to our investors and partners.

Help Build the Fundraising Machine:

• Build and organize the prospects database with investors to be approached in each of the targeted geographies, using our contact management tool, Affinity
• Assist in monitoring the fundraising funnel: attend, follow up on meetings and maintain contacts; contribute to creating a tool to gain efficiency in the fundraising process
• Assist with the preparation of pitch decks and other marketing materials (fundraising decks, data room documents, etc.)
• Update and enhance the annual investor analysis (breakdown of investors by geography, fund,...)
• Participate in the organisation of roadshows
• Liaise with the investment teams and facilitate their involvement with LPs
• Support in preparing Investor conferences: IPEM, SuperReturn, SuperInvestor, ….

Portfolio and Fund Data Analysis:

• Assist in building queries with iLEVEL, our portfolio monitoring tool, for various internal needs
• Contribute to building specific reports about the funds and portfolio performance upon request by investors, with iLEVEL.

Events:

• Organize in-person (and remote) events with our investors, corporate partners and/or portfolio companies to engage the Partech community.

Internal processes:

• Support the different internal initiatives including start-up onboarding, Investor journey, projects in the Firm etc.

Requirements:

• Business/Economics/Engineering (or another relevant degree) student at a top-tier university, in the last year(s) of its academic journey
• At least 1 internship / work experience in a startup, VC, consulting firm or corporate; international backgrounds/experiences are most welcome
• Proven quantitative, analytical and computer skills including PowerPoint and Excel – experience of an information system a plus
• Must be fluent / professional levels in both English and French
• A team player passionate about the Tech sector and a strong level motivation to learn about and work with startups and investors
