About the Role As the Director of Electrical Engineering at Blendid, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing and driving the electrical engineering efforts of our innovative food robotics systems. You will lead a talented team of electrical engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize the electrical components and systems that power Blendid’s robotic devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology and lead the advancement of our electrical engineering capabilities. The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure successful project execution and team development. Establish and drive the overall electrical engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives and long-term vision. Electrical System Design and Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for Blendid’s robotic devices, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and software engineering, to integrate electrical components seamlessly. Product Innovation and Improvement: Continuously explore and implement new technologies and innovations to enhance the performance, efficiency, and capabilities of Blendid’s electrical systems. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing products and processes. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including R&D, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment in achieving product development goals. Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards and regulations in all engineering activities and product designs. Budget and Resource Management: Collaborate with the executive team to establish and manage budgets and resources for electrical engineering projects. Project Planning and Execution: Develop project plans, set timelines, and monitor progress to meet project milestones and deadlines effectively.
