About the RoleAs the Director of Electrical Engineering at Blendid, you will lead the electrical engineering efforts for our food robotics systems. You will manage a team of electrical engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and optimize electrical components and systems. The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering.Key Responsibilities- Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the EE team; establish and drive EE strategy aligned with company objectives- Electrical System Design and Development: Oversee design, development, and testing; ensure safety, performance, and regulatory compliance; collaborate with mechanical and software teams- Product Innovation and Improvement: Implement new technologies; drive continuous improvement- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, product management, and manufacturing- Quality and Compliance: Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards- Budget and Resource Management: Establish and manage budgets and resources- Project Planning and Execution: Develop plans, set timelines, monitor progress and milestonesAbout You- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering (PhD a plus)- 8+ years in EE including team leadership/management- Strong expertise designing electrical systems for complex mechatronic devices/robotics- Knowledge of control systems, circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems- Experience with simulation tools, prototyping, and testing methodologies- Familiarity with safety/regulatory standards for robotics- Excellent communication; ability to lead and inspire; strong problem-solving and analytical skillsWhy You’ll Love Working at Blendid- Mission-driven team; competitive compensation and benefits; 401K with matching; stock options
