About the RoleAs the Director of Electrical Engineering at Blendid, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing and driving the electrical engineering efforts of our innovative food robotics systems. You will lead a talented team of electrical engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize the electrical components and systems that power Blendid’s robotic devices. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking technology and lead the advancement of our electrical engineering capabilities.The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership:- Lead and manage the electrical engineering team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure successful project execution and team development.- Establish and drive the overall electrical engineering strategy in alignment with the company’s objectives and long-term vision.Electrical System Design and Development:- Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems for Blendid’s robotic devices, ensuring they meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as mechanical and software engineering, to integrate electrical components seamlessly.Product Innovation and Improvement:- Continuously explore and implement new technologies and innovations to enhance the performance, efficiency, and capabilities of Blendid’s electrical systems.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize existing products and processes.Cross-Functional Collaboration:- Work closely with other departments, including R&D, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment in achieving product development goals.Quality and Compliance:- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards and regulations in all engineering activities and product designs.Budget and Resource Management:- Collaborate with the executive team to establish and manage budgets and resources for electrical engineering projects.Project Planning and Execution:- Develop project plans, set timelines, and monitor progress to meet project milestones and deadlines effectively.About You- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
