About the RoleAs the Director of Electrical Engineering at Blendid, you will lead the electrical engineering efforts of our innovative food robotics systems. You will manage a team of electrical engineers and work cross-functionally to design, develop, and optimize electrical components and systems that power Blendid’s robotic devices. The role is in-person at our Sunnyvale, CA headquarters and reports to the Head of Engineering.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:- Lead and mentor the electrical engineering team; establish and drive the overall EE strategyElectrical System Design and Development:- Oversee design, development, and testing of electrical systems meeting safety, performance, and regulatory requirements- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering for seamless integrationProduct Innovation and Improvement:- Explore and implement new technologies; drive continuous improvement initiativesCross-Functional Collaboration:- Partner with R&D, product management, and manufacturing to achieve product goalsQuality and Compliance:- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and safety standards/regulationsBudget and Resource Management:- Collaborate with the executive team to manage budgets and resourcesProject Planning and Execution:- Develop project plans, set timelines, and monitor progress to meet milestonesAbout You- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical Engineering (Ph.D. a plus); 8+ years EE experience with team leadership- Expertise in control systems, circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems; simulation, prototyping, testing- Familiarity with safety/regulatory standards for robotics; excellent communication and leadership; strong analytical skills
