The Cloud Engineering team provides the platforms, tooling, and operational foundations that enable Yoco’s engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate reliable services at scale. We manage and evolve our cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, ensuring our infrastructure remains secure, performant, resilient, and cost-effective.
As Yoco continues to scale, cloud and SaaS spend have become increasingly important strategic levers. The Cloud Engineering team plays a key role in ensuring that technology investments deliver measurable business value while enabling engineering teams to move quickly and confidently. As a FinOps Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring Yoco derives maximum value from every rand spent across our cloud and SaaS ecosystem.
Reporting to the Cloud Operations team within Cloud Engineering, you will serve as the bridge between Engineering, Finance, and Procurement, bringing visibility, accountability, and optimisation to technology spend across AWS, Azure, GCP, and our core SaaS platforms.
You will own and drive the FinOps lifecycle across Cloud Engineering spend and associated technology platforms by improving cost transparency, identifying optimisation opportunities, governing SaaS utilisation, and partnering with engineering teams to embed cost-conscious decision-making into day-to-day operations.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong cloud infrastructure background who has developed a passion for cloud economics, cost optimisation, and using data to drive operational and commercial outcomes. Success in this role requires a combination of analytical rigour, technical credibility, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
