We are one of the most promising startups of 2025 with headquarters in Spain. We were founded in Barcelona, and since then, we've expanded to include offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Berlin, and Paris. We do this by disrupting the traditional residential real estate market, providing fully furnished and artfully designed apartments for stays starting at one month. We remove all the hassle around finding a rental with no long-term contracts, security deposits, broker fees, moving/buying furniture, etc., giving choice and flexibility to allow people to plant their roots anywhere 💥.

Role |
We're a startup operating across four European countries with around 220 people. We've grown fast, and our HR infrastructure must evolve. We're looking for a People Partner who can hold two things at once: a solid grasp of HR operations (payroll, contracts, processes running cleanly in the background) and the confidence to handle the harder, more human side of the role -employee relations cases, manager guidance, complex conversations. This isn't a back-office role. You must be a natural go-to-person for managers before they make decisions.
The real challenge in this role: You'll work with operational managers who are excellent at running their teams and less experienced navigating people complexity. Your job is to be the person they call before things escalate, not the person who's brought in to clean up afterwards. That requires trust, and trust requires showing up consistently, speaking plainly, and knowing your stuff.
Responsibilities |
- Payroll & contracts : Own the full cycle across our European entities. Coordinate with local advisors and ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. This is the foundation: it has to be airtight.
- HR processes & HRIS: Keep our people data clean and our processes consistent. You like things in order, automated where possible, and you'll improve what isn't working without needing to be asked.
- Manager partnering: Act as the go-to for a defined group of managers. Guide them through people's decisions before they make them, not after. Programmes, processes, difficult conversations, team dynamics. Guide them through the right approach on performance, compensation, contracts, conflict, without it feeling like a compliance check.
- International employee relations reference: Be the first line on employment questions across our Intl. markets. You won't need to know everything, but you'll know enough to give solid guidance and assess when it’s required to involve legal counsel.
- Comfortable working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced startup environment.
- Meaningful ER experience. You've handled terminations, grievances and conflict, in the EU.
- Experience acting as a business partner or direct support to operational managers
- Hands-on with payroll and contracts across multiple entities or countries.
- You can have a hard conversation without making it harder than it needs to be.
- You are persevering and resilient when you’re chasing your goals.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Professional proficiency in Spanish.
- Other European languages -such as Italian, French, or Portuguese- will be considered a plus.
