About the position

  • Toss's Platform Product Owners design and build the shared infrastructure that other services rely on. This role sits within Toss's Global project and owns the common foundation for identity verification, KYC, account, and membership systems used across the countries Toss is expanding into.
  • We build platforms that every Global product team can stand on: identity, account, membership, and the compliance signals connected to them.
  • As one part of the product organization, you'll design the foundations that raise the speed and efficiency of the whole Global org, not just a single service.

What you'll do

  • Set the team's half-year goals for the platform product and drive them to completion.
  • Define problems based on customer needs and business impact, structure them, and convert them into concrete tasks on a roadmap.
  • Untangle complex problems clearly, collaborate with many stakeholders (country PO teams, engineering, compliance, legal, risk), and arrive at long-term solutions.
  • Continuously improve and evolve the common systems and platforms so that they're actually used and trusted by every team that depends on them.

The product area you'll own

  • The global identity verification (eKYC) platform: a shared foundation that supports multiple countries' regulatory regimes, document types, and verification providers, built once as a platform and reused across countries instead of rebuilt from scratch for each one.
  • Global account and membership systems: the data model, lifecycle, and APIs that downstream Global products (payments, transfers, lending, etc.) consume.
  • Authentication, session, and trust signals shared across the Global stack.

Who we want to work with

  • You are a foreign national (non-Korean citizen), with experience working in global markets.
  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in an equivalent product role.
  • Fintech experience is strongly preferred. Experience with identity, KYC/AML, authentication, account/membership, or B2B/back-office domains is a strong plus.
  • You have experience defining problems from the customer's perspective and driving the solution end-to-end.
  • You have experience structuring and solving complex problems based on data.
  • You have the execution and ownership to push through challenging situations all the way to the end.
  • You have experience leading large, complex projects across many stakeholders.
  • Experience with shared infrastructure (identity, risk, finance systems, internal tools) or B2B/back-office domains is a particularly good fit.

Please note

  • This posting is for candidates who want to lead foundational platform work, specifically within Toss's Global Account Platform.
  • If you apply through this page, we'll also consider you for the Product Owner role on the same domain. Based on your experience and strengths, we'll recommend the better fit together.

How to write your resume

  • For each product, service, or project, make the flow visible: problem definition → solution design → stakeholder collaboration → final outcome.
  • Don't just list responsibilities. Include the outcomes you created and the insights (learnings) you took away.

Hiring process

  • Resume screening > Role interview > Culture-fit interview > Reference check > Offer discussion > Final offer and join

A word from your future colleagues

"We don't build a single service. We build the systems every team can stand on."

  • A Platform Product Owner is not just "the person who builds systems."
  • You change the foundation that every product is built on, and you design Toss's long-term growth from the bottom up. On the Global project, that foundation is identity and account: the layer every country team needs before they can ship anything else.
  • If you're comfortable holding complex structures and logic in your head and aligning many stakeholders, especially if you've worked on B2B or back-office systems, this is a strong fit.
  • Bringing technology, operations, and business understanding together to ask "what change here makes everyone better off" is the essence of the Platform PO role, and it's the role that raises the speed and efficiency of every Global team.
