Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.

As our company continues to scale rapidly, we are expanding our People Operations Team to ensure that our People Operations processes remains consistent, compliant, and people-centric.

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive People Operations Assistant to support our People Operations team across multiple EU countries. In this role you will manage HR and payroll documentation, support onboarding and offboarding at volume, and act as a first point of contact for employees on routine HR and administrative matters.

This is an ideal role for an individual that enjoys bringing structure to complexity, and takes pride in delivering a thoughtful, high-quality Employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the People Operations team across EU countries

  • Prepare, collect, maintain, and update HR documentation required for payroll and HR administration (e.g. contracts, amendments, employee records)

  • Ensure employee data accuracy across HRIS and payroll systems

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding administration, including documentation and system updates

  • Act as a first point of contact for Employees, responding to routine HR and administrative questions (e.g. contracts, payroll timelines, benefits information)

  • Assist with audits, reporting, and ad hoc People Operations projects as needed

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external providers when required

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting HR processes and documentation, ideally in a multi-country EU environment

  • Familiarity with employment practices, basic understanding of payroll and HR processes

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage high volumes of administrative tasks

  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently

  • Fluency in French and English, German or Italian languages are a plus

This role can also be based in Italy or Germany, but France location will be preferred.
