Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Financial Controller who will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting strategic decision-making. Your role will focus on the following key areas:

Financial Analysis and Reporting

  • Design and implement performance indicators to monitor financial health.
  • Prepare and present monthly reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide top management with in-depth financial analysis to guide strategic planning.

Budget and Forecasting

  • Participate in budget preparation and forecasting processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals and support resource allocation.

Cost Efficiency and Monitoring

  • Deliver monthly financial reports and variance analyses to operational teams (Product, Tech, Marketing, G&A).
  • Investigate budget deviations and recommend corrective action plans.

Financial Closing and Compliance

  • Ensure accurate monthly closing processes in collaboration with external accounting firms.
  • Guarantee data integrity and scalability of financial reporting.

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Provide support for special projects, including fundraising, external growth, and financing.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in financial analysis and excellent problem-solving skills. Key competencies include:

  • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Communication: Fluent in English (C2 level) with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additional fluency in French is a plus
  • Tech-Savviness: Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools; ability to work with large datasets.
  • Problem Solving: Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to identifying solutions.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Team Collaboration: Works well independently and within a team, fostering cross-departmental collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance or Corporate Finance.
  • Experience: 6+ years in audit and/or financial controlling.
  • Nice to have: Experience in the supply chain, software, or logistics sectors
