Role Overview

The Country Lead is Rohlik Group’s strategic ambassador in a local market. This role is a high-impact business leader—an operator-thinker hybrid who drives alignment, pushes central teams to deliver, and ensures country success. The main responsibility is to spot local opportunities, remove blockers, escalate recurring issues to the exec board, challenge the status quo, and push the business forward. The Country Lead owns the business performance but executes through influence, not hierarchy.

1. Country Execution & Group Alignment

  • Own local business results (Revenue, EBITDA, CSAT), while execution sits with central teams.

  • Push central teams to deliver market-relevant outcomes (e.g. growth, pricing, promotions, assortment, ops efficiency).

  • Ensure strategy from Group lands with excellence and speed.

  • Proactively raise local risks and innovation opportunities to central product, operations, and leadership.

2. Drive Strategic Innovation & Product Fit

  • Be the voice of the customer in the country—translating needs into actionable requests for the product & tech teams.

  • Unlock growth by identifying local trends, competitive gaps, and unmet needs.

  • Co-create new business models, partnerships, and market moves with central leadership.

3. Matrix Orchestration & Governance

  • Chair the Country Leadership Forum—set rhythm with central Marketing, Commercial, Ops, Finance, HR, Legal, Tech.

  • Own the local operating rhythm: Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Governance, Quarterly Reviews.

  • Maintain clear roles (RACI), track issues, own the risk register, and regulatory compliance status.

4. Market Representation

  • Represent Rohlik Group with regulators, media, landlords, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  • Be the local face of the business, in collaboration with Group Communications.

Collaboration with Central Functions

As the strategic ambassador in the market, you will work closely with central teams to drive local success:

  • Operations & Supply & Quality: Raise opportunities to improve market-relevant execution that delivers excellent product availability and productivity, and high-quality standards.

  • Marketing: Provide local insights and competitor intelligence to ensure central campaigns, brand messaging, and CRM programs resonate effectively in your market.

  • Commercial: Act as the voice of the local customer for assortment, pricing, and promotions, ensuring central teams are aware of local trends and competitive gaps.
    Product & Technology: Translate local customer needs into actionable requests for the product and tech teams to ensure successful adoption of new features and systems.

  • Finance, HR, & Legal: In your role as Chair of the Country Leadership Forum, you will set the rhythm and maintain governance with central support functions to manage risks and ensure compliance.

What we look for

Profile:

  • Ambitious, entrepreneurial builder—ideally ex-consultant with hands-on execution experience in high-growth digital/consumer companies.

  • Self-driven: Gets things done in ambiguous environments without waiting for permission.

  • Strategic + tactical: Can think like a CEO, but also roll up sleeves and fix issues.

Skills:

  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking; fluent in financial KPIs and trade-offs.

  • Gravitas to engage with senior stakeholders (internally and externally).

  • Fluent in English and the local market language; other CEE languages are a plus.

Experience:

  • Required

    • 5–8 years total experience, with a minimum of 2–3 years in a top-tier consulting firm or fast-scaling tech/business environment.

    • Strong track record of driving change across matrixed organizations or launching new initiatives.

  • Preferred

    • Experience with digital or hybrid business models.

    • Previous exposure to matrix or multinational environments
