papernest is growing fast, and our HR function needs to keep pace. We're looking for our next Head of HR France to take the lead on HR strategy across our entire French footprint, around 250 employees, split between Paris and Reims.
Your missions :
Leadership & HR strategy
Define and drive the HR strategy and policy for France, in line with group HR strategy (close coordination with the HR team based in Barcelona)
Manage, coach and grow the France HR team (4 to 5 people, across Paris and Reims)
Be THE go-to Business Partner across your entire scope: disciplinary matters, on-boarding, off-boarding, reorganizations, litigation
Lead the French rollout of the Manager DNA programme (Posture + Practice, the 4 pillars: Model / Do-er / Coach / Driver) and the redesign of the performance review grid (50% OKR / 50% Work Formula & skills)
HR transformation & innovation
Be the France lead on the HR AI-Transformation project: mapping the employee journey, deploying Claude as a strategic HR ally and Cowork to automate low-value operational tasks
Shift the HR function from reactive to proactive, leveraging data and new AI tools
HR administration, payroll & compliance
Ensure full legal compliance on payroll, personnel administration and labor law
Be the France payroll lead: drive payroll production directly with our external payroll provider
Administer and evolve the HRIS (Workday)
Employee relations
Prepare and run both works councils (CSE) : Paris and Reims
HR development
Build and steer the training plan
Partner with the Talent Acquisition teams to set recruitment up for success
Oversee office management activities for our Paris and Reims offices
What we're looking for :
At least 5 years of experience in generalist HR roles, with proven team management experience, ideally within a fast-growing organization (start-up, scale-up…)
Natural leadership, excellent interpersonal skills and strong management capabilities
A sharp analytical mindset: you're as comfortable thinking strategically as you are rolling up your sleeves operationally
Genuine curiosity for AI and new HR tools, you're not afraid to rethink processes with Claude or Cowork
Strong autonomy and adaptability
Fluent English (regular exchanges with the Spain HR team, based in Barcelona)
