The Role
As a Senior Marketing Technology Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of marketing, data, and engineering. You will own and continuously improve the measurement infrastructure that underpins Oviva’s digital marketing and product analytics.
Your primary goal is to ensure that our web analytics and tracking infrastructure is accurate, reliable, and trusted, providing the solid foundation needed for data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be the primary owner of Google Tag Manager, GA4, and consent management, ensuring data flows reliably from user behavior through to business insight. Essential Traits:

The Role
As a Senior Marketing Technology Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of marketing, data, and engineering. You will own and continuously improve the measurement infrastructure that underpins Oviva’s digital marketing and product analytics.
Your primary goal is to ensure that our web analytics and tracking infrastructure is accurate, reliable, and trusted, providing the solid foundation needed for data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be the primary owner of Google Tag Manager, GA4, and consent management, ensuring data flows reliably from user behavior through to business insight. Essential Traits:
- Technical Mastery: Extensive experience with Google Tag Manager (custom JS, data layers) and deep expertise in Google Analytics 4.
- AdTech Knowledge: Hands-on experience with advertising pixels and server-side tracking/Conversions API (CAPI).
- Analytical Thinking: Strong fundamentals in attribution modeling and multi-touch measurement at scale.
- Web Fundamentals: Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to analytics.
- Privacy First: A strong advocate for data accuracy and GDPR-compliant measurement.
- AI Curiosity: You experiment with AI-powered tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity.
- SQL Proficiency: Strong skills in Google BigQuery for data extraction and transformation.
- Scale-up Experience: Experience building or rebuilding measurement standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Automation Mindset: A tendency to automate manual tracking and reporting tasks to reduce ad-hoc data pulls.
- Architecture & Governance: Own and maintain Oviva’s tagging and tracking architecture in Google Tag Manager, enforcing standards for UTM naming, event taxonomy, and data layer specifications.
- Measurement Implementation: Manage marketing measurement pixels and conversion tracking across paid channels (Google, Meta, Microsoft, Taboola, etc.), including server-side solutions.
- Analytics Configuration: Own the GA4 configuration, including event modeling, custom dimensions, audience definitions, and downstream integrations.
- Data Pipelines: Build and maintain data pipelines from GA4/GTM into Google BigQuery to enable advanced analysis and CRM integration.
- Quality Assurance & Trust: Lead tracking QA, proactively monitoring implementation health and resolving discrepancies between data sources (GA4, Salesforce, ad platforms).
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering, marketing, and product teams to build shared ownership of measurement infrastructure and privacy-compliant tracking.
