The Role
As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product managers, operations teams, engineering teams, and other business stakeholders. You’ll help shape and drive the Salesforce roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Oviva’s overarching objectives. Your work will have a direct impact on improving the efficiency of our global operations and enhancing the experience of both internal and external users.
Essential
Substantial Salesforce development experience with at least 5 years in Salesforce Sales Cloud, including strong knowledge of Flows, APEX, Lightning Components, SOQL, and Visualforce, demonstrating proficiency in solving complex configuration challenges.
Proven integration skills for Salesforce with external systems and third-party solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and reliability, coupled with a solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs.
Salesforce security and best practices expertise, with an ability to design solutions within Governor Limits, maintain data integrity, and uphold the highest security standards.
Strong problem-solving and communication abilities, showcasing skills to address high-level software challenges, translate technical concepts into clear stakeholder language, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Automation & AI-driven innovation: Strong curiosity and hands-on engagement with AI and cutting-edge technologies, actively experimenting with AI-powered tools (e.g., Cursor for coding assistance) to enhance engineering workflows. Demonstrates a strong tendency to automate workflows and tasks, to drive innovation, efficiency, and scalability.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering
Salesforce "Platform Developer II" or “Application Architect” certificate
Previous work experience with application and software development (outside the Salesforce ecosystem).
Work closely with stakeholders across engineering and operations to drive the Salesforce roadmap, aligning it with Oviva’s long-term vision and patient-first mission.
Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions (e.g. Flows, APEX, Lightning Components) aligned with user needs and organisational goals.
Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party solutions, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and data integrity.
Drive continuous delivery and release processes by establishing best practices, automated pipelines, and code quality standards.
Ensure system reliability and security through robust testing, monitoring, and maintenance of Salesforce Governor Limits and other platform constraints.
Collaborate cross-functionally to cultivate knowledge sharing, best practices, and team alignment on Salesforce initiatives.
