The Role

We are looking for an exceptional, entrepreneurial Senior Director, Commercial to join our German Leadership Team. This is a high-stakes, strategic role designed for a leader who excels at bridging the gap between commercial ambition and operational reality.

In this role, you will be the primary architect of our Doctor Engagement Strategy, moving beyond traditional business development to orchestrate a unified approach across the entire business. You will bring together Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to ensure Oviva provides a seamless, high-value experience for healthcare professionals across Germany.

As a key member of the German Leadership Team, you will work in close partnership with the Managing Director (MD). You will be expected to stand in for the MD in both internal leadership forums and external high-level representations. This role is specifically designed for a senior leader with a clear growth trajectory into a country leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead and direct a dedicated, multi-disciplinary team, including Doctor Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data Science, to achieve measurable outcomes. You will act as the orchestrator who resolves friction and ensures shared ownership across departments.

  • Holistic Doctor Engagement Strategy: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for doctors across all relevant healthcare segments (GPs, specialists, clinics). This includes driving awareness and education through activation and long-term relationship management.

  • Strategic Leadership & Commercial Growth: Execute the commercial strategy for our B2B doctor engagement organization, providing concentrated leadership to accelerate Oviva’s most important growth opportunities.

  • Executive Representation & Succession: Act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director, contributing to financial performance and high-level decision-making. You will represent the MD in internal meetings and external conferences, building the profile and experience necessary for future country leadership.

  • Tech-Enabled Innovation: Leverage our CRM, website, and marketing automation to unlock sophisticated new ways to engage the medical community, working closely with Product and Engineering to ensure alignment.

  • External Influence: Build deep, lasting relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and medical associations, enhancing Oviva’s presence and clinical credibility within the German healthcare community.

  • Fluent Communicator: You are fully professional and fluent in both German and English, capable of inspiring internal teams and building trust with external medical partners.

  • Academic Foundation: You hold a Master’s degree or MBA in Business, Economics, Medicine, or a related field.
