The Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who wants to build something that matters. You'll own significant product workstreams end-to-end — from the first discovery conversation with a financial institution through to the moment a merchant uses the feature you defined.
This isn't a write-the-spec-and-disappear role. You'll stay in it — alongside engineers during the build, with QA during testing, and coordinating go-live with our growth team. You think deeply, document clearly, and use AI as a daily working partner to do both at speed.
What You Will Do
Discovery & Research
Conduct discovery sessions with financial institutions and their stakeholders to uncover pain points, business drivers, and capability gaps
Distinguish client requests from underlying problems and protect the integrity of the discovery process
Requirements & Documentation
Write business requirements documents — capturing problem context, business drivers, user pain points, success metrics, user journeys, and out-of-scope boundaries
Write product requirements documents — translate approved business requirements into developer-ready specifications including user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and error states
Build, Testing & Go-Live
Stay actively engaged throughout development — work alongside engineers, clarify requirements in real time, and raise concerns before they become problems
Stay actively engaged throughout testing — work alongside QA and make sure what ships matches what was defined
Own go-live and GTM coordination — work with our growth team to ensure client and internal communications land correctly; monitor adoption in the days following launch
What We Are Looking For
Must have
5+ years in a product management role, with at least 2 years at senior level
Experience working in or with fintech, payments, or financial services
Strong requirements writing ability — you can produce clear, developer-ready specifications independently
Comfortable owning a client relationship — you can run a meeting, manage sign-off, and navigate difficult conversations
Track record of shipping features end-to-end, not just defining them
Nice to have
Experience with B2B2C or platform business models
Exposure to SME or merchant-facing products
Familiarity with the African fintech landscape
Experience working alongside QA and owning UAT processes
Hands-on use of AI tooling in your day-to-day product workflow
