As our (Senior) Finance Business Partner Retail DE (f/m/x) you are the commercial co-pilot for our Retail DACH & Netherlands teams, driving strategic decisions that maximize revenue and margins. By bridging finance and sales, you steer critical commercial initiatives, analyze market trends, and empower our teams to achieve sustainable distribution success. You act as the go-to expert for actionable financial insights in a fast-paced retail environment.
What you will do:
Commercial Strategy & Margin Management: You co-own the success of our retail channel across DACH and the Netherlands by providing continuous guidance on maximizing revenue, optimizing margins, and ensuring the commercial success of key undertakings like trade marketing campaigns and big retail promotions.
Retail Assortment & Listing Steering: You advise Key Account Managers on retail assortments, challenge timelines and volumes for listing changes, and ensure the right product mix and pricing strategy at the Point of Sale.
Data-Driven Performance Analysis: You measure and analyze sell-in and sell-out data (e.g., Nielsen) to identify market trends early on, turning complex metrics into key, actionable findings for the sales teams.
Field Force Guidance: You act as a strategic sparring partner for the Field Force team leads, providing data-backed insights to guide their teams toward distribution success.
Stakeholder Management: You establish yourself as the central financial go-to person for the German Retail team, Retail Operations, and cross-functional departments (e.g., SCM, Procurement), navigating a complex stakeholder environment with quick turnaround times.
What you bring:
Strong financial background with an excellent understanding of financial statements, particularly P&L, combined with deep knowledge and experience in the German retail sector (e.g., understanding rotation, POS dynamics).
Exceptional analytical skills: You are highly proficient in turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations and bring hands-on experience working with Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, and AI tools (like Claude & Gemini).
Stakeholder management expertise: You easily navigate a variety of stakeholders across different departments, communicating complex financial topics clearly and convincingly to non-financial teams.
Impact-driven and proactive mindset: You thrive in a fast-paced environment with simultaneous deadlines, taking full ownership of your topics to make a real impact on our retail success.
Language skills: Fluent English and strong German skills are required to effectively communicate with our local retail partners and internal teams.
Location: You are based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
What's in it for you:
Smart Working & Flexibility: Flexible working hours, hybrid work, and 20 days of workation. We trust you to take ownership: you deliver on our shared goals and structure your day in the way that works best for you. You’ll also start with 28 days of vacation, increasing by one additional day per year of tenure (capped at 30 days), so you always have time to recharge.

On top of that, a fully funded BVG ticket (Jobticket), a subsidy for your fitness membership (Urban Sports Club, Hansefit, or FitX), and a company pension scheme (bAV) via Ginkgo.
Shared Moments: Regular team events and company parties to celebrate milestones and successes together.
We're looking for People who share our Mindset
For us, it's not just about the what, but above all about the how. You'll be a perfect fit for us if you have the following mindset:
You take initiative and ownership. You don't wait for a perfect brief or a mandate to get started. When you see an opportunity, a risk, or something that can be improved - you act. When things don't go as planned, you look at your own contribution first and step up, without waiting to be asked.
You thrive in change. Shifting priorities and evolving processes don't slow you down. You adapt fast and keep moving.
You build, you don't wait. When something is missing - a tool, a process, a solution - you create it. You prefer a working MVP over a perfect plan and iterate from there.
You think in leverage. You question how things are done, prioritize ruthlessly, and find smarter paths to better outcomes. You don't mistake effort for impact.
You're a team player, humble and genuinely kind. You collaborate in and across teams, care about the people around you, and bring sparkles to the room. You speak up when you disagree, commit fully once a decision is made, and actively make the people around you better.
Own it – Move fast – Build it – Create impact – Lift others
