About the role
We are looking for a dynamic HRBP to support Malaysia team and regions. This role is a unique blend of regional talent acquisition, employee relations, and HR Operations. You will be the backbone of our regional people operations, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and our employees are supported across borders.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Recruitment: Drive end-to-end hiring strategies for Singapore, Malaysia, and India.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the trusted advisor for managers and employees in Malaysia, ensuring local labor law compliance.
- Payroll and compliance: Conduct meticulous final reviews of payroll processing for regional entities.
- Ensure statutory compliance and timely filings across all jurisdictions.
- Liaise with finance teams to ensure budget accuracy and reporting.
- Ensure data integrity across all platforms and generate regional people analytics/reports.
- Build a strong employer brand within Igloo markets.
- Act as the primary contact point for employee grievances, performance management, and labor law inquiries across the regions.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives that foster a positive company culture and high employee retention.
- Experience: 3+ years in an HR Generalist or HRBP role, preferably with regional exposure to Southeast Asia and India.
- Systems Proficiency: Proven experience managing HRIS and ATS platforms (e.g., Hibob, Workable, or Greenhouse).
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of payroll cycles and statutory requirements in Malaysia and India.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
- Problem Solver: A "tech-forward" mindset with a knack for improving manual processes through system automation.
