Role Description
As an Account Executive, you will build and manage relationships with business owners and referral partners (e.g., brokers, advisors, and other intermediaries) to drive high-quality deal flow onto Hum’s platform. You’ll work directly with founders and operators to help them access non-dilutive financing solutions.
This is a hybrid role that blends relationship management, deal sourcing, and consultative sales, with exposure to a wide range of businesses across industries and geographies.
What You’ll Do
Own Relationships & Drive Deal Flow
- Build and nurture relationships with referral partners to generate consistent, high-quality company introductions
- Develop a network of brokers, advisors, and other intermediaries
- Identify co-marketing and community opportunities to educate business owners on financing solutions
- Partner with internal teams to structure and execute referral agreements
Manage Inbound & Outbound Pipeline
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business owners seeking capital
- Run discovery calls with founders and executives to understand financing needs
- Qualify opportunities and match companies with appropriate financing solutions
- Manage a high-velocity pipeline of inbound leads using Salesforce
Drive Revenue & Prospecting Efforts
- Conduct strategic outbound to source new referral relationships and company leads
- Maintain and grow an active pipeline across multiple industries and geographies
- Collaborate closely with investment and deal teams to move opportunities forward
Deliver a Best-in-Class Experience
- Ensure a seamless experience for both referral partners and their clients
- Act as a trusted advisor using a consultative, solutions-oriented approach
Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in sales, account management, or an AE/SDR role
- Comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and business owners
- Strong communicator: articulate, concise, and confident
- Highly driven, competitive, and goal-oriented
- Intellectually curious with a strong interest in finance and investing
Nice to Have
- Experience working with brokers, lenders, financial advisors, or in fintech
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools
- Background in high-growth startups, SaaS, or financial services
- Proficiency with Google Suite / Microsoft Office
