The partner agency is currently looking for a Senior Travel Expert for the French market, based in Tokyo, to support its continued growth and strong performance in Japan.

This role is designed for an experienced professional who will manage customized travel requests for French-speaking travelers, from the first contact through to trip completion. The position combines sales, itinerary design, operational coordination, and customer care, within a mature and competitive market that requires autonomy, efficiency, and strong destination expertise.

You will work closely with the Country Manager and local operational teams, handling tailor-made travel projects primarily generated via the Evaneos platform. If you enjoy combining sales performance with meaningful travel design, this role is for you.


💼 Your main missions

🧭 Advising travelers and creating tailor-made trips

  • Advise French-speaking travelers and design personalized itineraries aligned with their expectations, budget, and travel style.

  • Understand clients’ needs and constraints to propose realistic and inspiring travel experiences in Japan.

  • Share in-depth knowledge of Japanese culture, destinations, customs, weather, and activities to guide decision-making.

  • Manage client communication by phone, email, and video calls, ensuring a professional and service-oriented approach.

🧳 Managing the practical aspects of the trip

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations using dedicated travel software, in line with internal pricing and margin guidelines.

  • Coordinate bookings with hotels and local suppliers, ensuring consistency between the itinerary and confirmed services.

  • Supervise the creation of the traveler’s Road Book and ensure all information is properly shared before departure.

  • Follow internal sales processes, SOPs, and pipeline monitoring tools to ensure smooth file management.

🌟 Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the trip

  • Act as the main point of contact for travelers during their stay in Japan.

  • Ensure that each trip is delivered in line with quality standards and sales commitments.

  • Apply internal quality guidelines, with particular attention to client satisfaction, itinerary clarity, and offer accuracy.

📊 Administrative and financial follow-up

  • Monitor quotation accuracy and gross profit margins for each file.

  • Track sales opportunities and report progress through regular internal meetings.

  • Collaborate closely with the Country Manager, Sales team, and Operations team to align priorities and actions.

🌱 Promoting responsible tourism

  • Promote sustainable and responsible travel practices in line with the agency’s values.

  • Ensure that proposed travel experiences align with the agency’s commitment to eco-responsible tourism.


💰 Contract conditions

  • 📄 Contract type: Permanent local contract (with a 3-month probation period)

  • 📍 Location: Tokyo – Aoyama, Minato-ku

  • Working hours: Flexible schedule

  • 💻 Work mode: On-site in Tokyo with the possibility of one remote working day per week

  • 💲 Compensation: Fixed base salary with variable commission and performance incentives

  • 🌴 Annual leave: 20 working days (excluding public holidays)
