The agency is looking for a General Manager to lead its operations in Sri Lanka, based in Colombo, starting in January 2026. As head of the local entity, you will be responsible for defining and executing the commercial and operational strategy, managing teams, and ensuring both customer satisfaction and financial performance.
You will act as a key ambassador of the agency’s vision, values, and quality standards. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial development, operational oversight, and external representation in a dynamic, international tourism environment.

💼 Your main missions
📈 Strategic development
Define, implement, and continuously adjust the overall strategy of the Sri Lankan entity in line with growth objectives and market evolution.
Analyze the competitive environment and identify new commercial opportunities.
Drive the development of travel products and offerings in Asia and other relevant markets.
Structure and lead marketing strategies, including digital actions, commercial campaigns, and strategic partnerships.
Strengthen brand visibility and positioning across existing and targeted markets.
🤝 Commercial development (B2B focus)
Actively contribute to B2B commercial development.
Manage, structure, and develop relationships with existing strategic partners.
Identify, prospect, and sign new B2B partners, including agencies, platforms, and networks.
Participate in commercial negotiations, strategic meetings, and partner performance reviews.
Support the development of new distribution channels and revenue growth opportunities.
⚙️ Operational & organizational management
Supervise all operations from Sri Lanka, including sales, travel design, reservations, production, supplier relations, customer service, and logistics.
Ensure regulatory compliance across relevant countries and enforce internal procedures.
Continuously optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, control costs, and deliver a smooth, high-quality travel experience.
Oversee office operations and ensure effective coordination with local partners.
👥 Team leadership & management
Supervise, support, and evaluate department managers and multicultural teams.
Lead recruitment efforts and define training needs in collaboration with Group HR.
Drive skills development and performance management across teams.
Build and maintain a strong company culture focused on cohesion, performance, and service excellence.
Ensure clear internal communication and performance monitoring.
💰 Financial management & reporting
Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Ensure achievement of revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
Monitor costs, analyze financial results, and initiate corrective action plans when needed.
Produce regular reports for management and shareholders and support investment decisions.
🌟 Customer relations & quality
Guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing case follow-up and incident management.
Define quality indicators, analyze customer feedback, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure the Shanti Travel experience remains consistent, personalized, and aligned with internal standards.
🌐 External representation & network development
Represent the agency with institutions, commercial partners, suppliers, media, and tourism stakeholders in Sri Lanka and other destinations.
Participate in trade shows, industry events, and strategic meetings.
Develop and maintain a strong local and international partner network.
