Description

Our engineering department leads the development of scalable, user-centric software solutions, harnessing agile methodologies to deliver robust and intuitive products. With a focus on continuous improvement and seamless integration, we craft transformative tools that redefine the digital experience for our customers in the DACH-region, and beyond.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a working student with experience developing with Ruby on Rails who can join our Engineering Team and to help scale our platform.

• Assist in developing new features using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code.
• Write and execute unit tests (RSpec).
• Assist with integration and end-to-end testing.
• Build back-end components for web applications.
• Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions.
• Participate at all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Maintain existing applications and make necessary updates and enhancements.

Requirements

• Some commercial experience with Ruby-on-Rails and is keen to gain experience with it.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• You have an eye and passion for clean code.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of agile software development.
• Fluent in English.

It will be a plus if you have:

• Experience in test-driven development.
• Experience with payment services, PSP integrations
• Good understanding of CI/CD process (Circle CI, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL & NoSQL databases.
