Engineering Manager

As we scale to become a leader in the European consumer billing market, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team within our Payments area.

About the Role

This is a defining moment for Billogram. You will join us during a period of rapid expansion, giving you the unique opportunity to build and shape a new team from the ground up. This role is ideal for a leader who enjoys balancing strategic people management with hands-on involvement in high-impact client projects.

What you will do:

  • Bridge Business & Tech: Manage relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring technical solutions align with commercial goals.

  • Lead Delivery: Partner with the team’s Product Manager to plan, execute, and communicate product deliveries with clarity and speed.

  • Coach & Grow: Challenge, mentor, and empower a team of talented developers to reach their full potential.

  • Optimize Evolution: Continuously refine our "ways of working" to ensure we remain agile and efficient.

  • Support Discovery: Play an active role in product discovery to ensure we are building the right things for the right reasons.

What you bring:

  • Leadership Excellence: Proven experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.

  • Commercial Acumen: A strong focus on customer value and an understanding of how technical decisions impact the bottom line.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of bank integrations, payment flows, and the complexities of the financial ecosystem.

  • Quality Mindset: The ability to deliver scalable, high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. While you don't need to write code daily, a solid general technical understanding is essential.
