Job Overview: You will be responsible for leading the company’s People & Culture strategy, and people operations to support business growth and organizational effectiveness. This role oversees core HR functions including talent acquisition, people operations, performance management, and employee engagement while leading and developing the team.
As the People & Culture Manager, You will be responsible for:
Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Own and deliver the company's performance management system - including goal-setting frameworks, KPIs, competency design, appraisal cycles, and manager enablement
- Lead organizational development initiatives: job architecture, career tracks, assessment methodologies, and succession planning
- Design and execute company-wide learning and development programs, including AI literacy and manager capability building
- Drive job leveling and salary banding in alignment with the compensation strategy
- Build OD and L&D capability within the company - involve, coach, and develop team members through hands-on project execution
Talent Acquisition Oversight
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment across all functions to meet high-volume and quality hiring targets
- Set hiring standards, structured interview methodology, and funnel reporting cadence
- Ensure a strong candidate experience and employer brand presence throughout the hiring process
Compensation, Operations & Compliance
- Manage annual merit increase cycles, linking performance outcomes to payroll timelines
- Ensure full compliance with applicable labor law across all people practices and employee documentation
- Build and maintain a comprehensive HR policy framework, proactively identifying and closing gaps
- Supervise payroll, employee lifecycle, and government relations functions
Engagement & Culture
- Design and lead employee engagement measurement - survey design, analysis, and action planning
- Drive cultural initiatives aligned with company values across a predominantly remote workforce
- Maintain employer brand integrity through onboarding excellence and culture activities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the People & Culture team across recruitment, HR operations, compliance, and organizational development
- Foster collaboration and build a high-accountability team culture
- Partner with the People, Culture & Legal Director on HR strategy, leadership advisory, and organizational decisions
We're Looking for someone with:
- 9-12 years of experience, with at least 2 years in a manager capacity leading a Team
- Proven experience in HR Operations owning payroll, employee lifecycle and compliance
- Demonstrated track record delivering OD and L&D initiatives: competency frameworks, performance management systems, or learning programs
- Experience operating in a scaling company with remote or hybrid workforce
- Background in EdTech, technology, or high-growth environments preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent working knowledge of Egyptian labor law
- Ability to design and facilitate manager training, capability workshops, and assessment centers
- Comfortable building compensation benchmarks, salary bands, and incentive frameworks
- Strong analytical and reporting capability, able to translate people data into leadership-ready insights
- Executes at pace, moves projects from planning to delivery without stalling in analysis
- Leads with credibility, earns trust from senior leadership and direct reports simultaneously
- Strong coach and multiplier, develops team capability while delivering strategic projects
- Equally comfortable in strategic design and operational execution
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Fluent in Arabic and English - written and verbal
