As a Community Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our portfolio companies by providing them with the resources, network, and strategic support they need to grow.
About the Role:
The Community Associate will be responsible for supporting the operational and strategic needs of our portfolio companies, working closely with our Chief Marketing Officer. This role is ideal for someone who is early in their career, with ~2-3 years of work experience, has a strong interest in the venture capital ecosystem, is keen to roll up their sleeves and embark on a steep learning curve. You will work with/ support our investment team, portfolio companies, and external partners to drive value creation across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for a select group of portfolio companies, understanding their needs, challenges, and opportunities.
- Community Building: Help foster a strong community among our portfolio founders and C-Levels by organizing events, workshops, and networking opportunities.
- Content Creation: Develop and curate resources (e.g., playbooks, templates, best practices) to address common challenges faced by portfolio companies.
- Ecosystem Development: Identify and engage with external partners (e.g., service providers, industry experts) who can offer valuable support to our portfolio companies.
- Data Collection, Analysis, and Visualization: Collect, track, analyze, and visualize data to provide insightful reports to investment teams and portfolio companies, to support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
- Service Provider Management: Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with service providers to ensure they meet the needs of our portfolio companies.
- Event Marketing & Communications: Create and design visuals for marketing materials related to events, to effectively engage the target audience, whilst ensuring they align with Partech's brand. And run point on creating newsletters for our portfolio.
- Special Projects: Assist with special projects that support the team’s objectives, such as launching new initiatives or programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: ~2-3 years of work experience, preferably in a startup, product management, or another operational role.
- Key Competencies:
- Data Collection, Analysis, and Visualization: Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data in a clear and actionable manner, using tools like Airtable, Canva, Excel,Google Sheets, and/or data visualization software.
- Service Provider Management: Experience in sourcing, evaluating, and managing external service providers to deliver high-quality support to internal teams and portfolio companies.
- Event Marketing & Design: Ability to create compelling visual content for marketing materials, with a strong understanding of design principles and brand alignment.
- Project Management: Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in crafting content for diverse audiences.
- Creative Problem-Solving: A creative thinker with a knack for identifying innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Interpersonal Skills: A team player with a collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Growth mindset: A proactive attitude with a desire to continuously learn, adapt, and improve, both personally and professionally. You embrace challenges, see failure as a learning opportunity, and are always seeking ways to grow.
